Community Involvement
Founded in 1907 as a Mutual Savings Bank, Claremont Saving Bank (CSB) has 105 consecutive years under the same name and charter. In 1981, we began our branch network in Cornish, Charlestown and Claremont for the convenience of our customers.
A Board of Incorporation consisting of over 40 members elected the Board of Trustees and represents the interests of depositors. By remaining a local institution, CSB can be more responsive to the needs of the communities we serve.
CSB employees, Trustees and Corporators are actively involved in all phases of community life including civic, cultural, school, church, athletic, charitable and service organizations. CSB was one of the first banks in the state to offer NOW Accounts, variable rate mortgages, no point loans, and to participate in the secondary mortgage market. We were the first bank in the state to offer a biweekly mortgage plan to help the borrower reduce interest costs and pay off their mortgage more quickly.
CSB is a strong supporter of local social service agencies and charities through the CSB Foundation. For a list of charities, click here
CSB now offers a Community Room.
